As a young man, Elder Campos dedicated his talents to God upon enlisting as a Literature Evangelist in his native Mexico. Throughout his years of ministry, he has served the cause of literature evangelism through selling and teaching otehrs the art of selling gospel literature. Ever the ardent evangelist, Jose has consistently preached the gospel of service through the printed page, and from pulpits around the world he has faithfully heralded the good news of Jesus Christ and of His imminent return.
Elder Campos has served as a literature evangelist, a field leader, a pastor and as an effective promoter of Spanish publications at the Pactific Press Publishing Association. He has served as Associate Publishing Director of the Inter-America Division, and also for the past fifteen years he has served with the General Conference Publishing Ministries Department. For the first ten years of this time he was an Associate Director, and for the past five years he has been the departments director.
Elder Campos is well known for his courage, faith, vision and enduring optimism. His abundant energies have always characterized his ministry. A similar tribute is made to his good wife, Adly, who is his dynamic helpmate in ministry. Together, Jose and Adly re an exemplary team who public speaking ministries have often combined in their worldwide appointments in public evangelism.
It is good news that Jose and Adly have distinct plans for the future. Both are in good health, and they indicate their desire to witness together as literature evangelists well into their retirement years.
We, the office staff members at General Conference headquarters, extend a sincere tribute to our former leader, Elder Jose Luis Campos. His personal friendship and untiring efforts in behalf of God's publishign ministry has commanded our respect, our thanks and our sincere congratulatons.
We wish for Elder and Mrs. Campos a happy retirement and God's richest blessings as they now resettle in Florida.
