It all begins with this little book I pull out with binding ripped and a price tag of $4. Getting the scratch pad going as I speak, "Mrs. Prospect, you probably have a few of these books lying around the house. You can see I paid $4 for one story about ten years ago. Somebody took the time to add up how many stories are in our children's library (BS, BeS, GSK) - over 700. Can you imagine if we put one of our stories in little books like these and charged $4 per story? [Lifting up a book] Do you see that red line at the binding [bending back and forth], our books are made to last untilJesus comes. Anyway, that would be $2800, or the price of an modern encyclopedia. Thankfully we did not do this. The total cost of our children's library, shipping and tax included, is $1,995... and Mrs. Prospect this includes the Healthy Food book, Health Power, the book on herbs, Desire of Ages, plus the big Family Bible!
Sometimes when I have the entire package (Food/Plant Encyclopedia, Family Medical Guides, BRL, God Cares, and Quigley Village Videos) then I liken that little book to what I saw it for sale recently - $7 for one story x 700 = $4900. Our entire Christian Family Encyclopedia is a pretty good bargain at $3995. Folks, I have always found it easier to sell large units than to end up with 5 books staring the customer in the face who then pulls out his calculator. The problem with many of us LE's is that we think too small, far too small. We have students running around the country selling mega books and somehow the big book LE's end up maga bookers themselves. This should not be.
